Privacy Policy

What We Collect

Refocus is an Overwolf app. We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the service:

Game event data — live match events provided by Overwolf's GEP (Game Events Provider), such as round outcomes, buy phase state, and kill feed. This data is processed locally on your device and is not stored on our servers.
Anonymous usage analytics — aggregate, non-identifiable data such as feature usage frequency, session length, and error reports. Collected via Overwolf's built-in analytics. No personal identifiers are included.
Coach Pack purchases — if you purchase a Coach Pack, payment is handled entirely by Overwolf's platform. Refocus does not receive, store, or process your payment information.

What We Do Not Collect

Your Riot Games account credentials or login tokens
Your IP address or location data
Any data from outside of active VALORANT sessions
Chat logs, voice data, or screen captures

Third-Party Services

Refocus runs on the Overwolf platform. By using Refocus, you also agree to Overwolf's Privacy Policy. Overwolf may collect platform-level data as described in their policy.

Data Retention

We do not operate a database of user records. No personally identifiable information is retained by Refocus beyond the active session on your local machine.

Children's Privacy

Refocus is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be announced via our Discord server. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.

Terms of Service

Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Refocus ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Refocus is an Overwolf overlay application that provides AI-powered tactical coaching for VALORANT. It operates as a read-only observer of game events — it does not modify game memory, inject code into game processes, or interact with the game client in any way that violates Riot Games' Terms of Service.

Permitted Use

Personal, non-commercial use only
Use in casual, ranked, and unrated VALORANT modes
Use with a single Overwolf and Riot Games account

Prohibited Use

Redistribution, resale, or sublicensing of the App or its content
Reverse engineering, decompiling, or modifying the App
Using the App to violate any applicable law or Riot Games' Terms of Service
Sharing your Overwolf account credentials to bypass purchase requirements

Account Safety & Anti-Cheat

Refocus is built on Overwolf, which is a Riot-approved platform. The App does not read game memory, inject DLLs, or interact with Vanguard in any unauthorized manner. However, use of the App is at your own risk. Refocus makes no guarantee that future changes to VALORANT or Vanguard will not affect compatibility.

Coach Packs & Purchases

Coach Packs are sold through the Overwolf platform. All purchases are subject to Overwolf's Terms of Service. Refocus does not offer refunds directly; refund requests must be submitted to Overwolf support.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Refocus and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to account actions taken by Riot Games.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via our Discord. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
